Terms of Service

Subby Hub is an online marketplace for New Zealand's construction and trades industry. Trade businesses use one profile to do both sides — find subcontractors ("subbies") when they're hiring, and find work when they've got time.

Subby Hub is not an employer, employment agency, or labour hire company.

We do not employ subbies, guarantee work, manage contracts between parties, or verify the quality of any work performed. Any work agreements made through the platform are solely between the subby and the business.

Subby Hub does not process, handle, or facilitate any payments or financial transactions.

All payment, invoicing, and financial arrangements between subbies and businesses are made entirely outside of this platform and are the sole responsibility of the parties involved. Subby Hub has no involvement in or liability for any financial arrangements between users.

You must be 18 years of age or older to use Subby Hub. By registering, you confirm that:

• You are a legitimate trades business or subcontractor operating in New Zealand
• All information you provide is accurate and not misleading
• Any credential documents you upload are genuine and current
• You have the legal right to work in New Zealand

• Keep your profile information accurate and up to date
• Only upload genuine credential documents that belong to you
• Treat other users with respect — no harassment, abuse, or spam
• Do not misrepresent your qualifications, insurance, or experience
• Do not use the platform for any unlawful purpose

Subby Hub does not independently verify any credentials, qualifications, licences, insurance, or other information displayed on user profiles.

All profile information — including trade qualifications, licence numbers, insurance certificates, ConstructSafe certifications, and any other credentials — is self-declared and self-uploaded by the user. Subby Hub makes no representation that any credential is genuine, current, or accurate.

Before engaging any subcontractor found through this platform, you are solely responsible for independently verifying:

• Their identity and right to work in New Zealand
• The validity of any licences, certifications, or qualifications they claim to hold
• That their insurance is current and adequate for the work involved
• Any other information material to your decision to engage them

Subby Hub accepts no liability for loss or damage arising from reliance on unverified profile information.

Subby Hub does not guarantee that:

• Businesses will find suitable subbies
• Subbies will receive job offers or work
• Any user on the platform is who they claim to be
• Credentials displayed on profiles are valid or current

You are responsible for independently verifying any information before entering into work agreements with other users.

To the maximum extent permitted by New Zealand law, Subby Hub shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential losses arising from:

• Your use of or inability to use the platform
• Work arrangements, disputes, or contracts made between users
• Inaccurate or false information provided by any user
• Any work performed or not performed as a result of connections made through the platform

The Subby Hub name, logo, and platform are owned by Subby Hub. You retain ownership of any content you upload (profile information, documents), but grant us a licence to display and store it for the purpose of operating the platform.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms, provide false information, harass other users, or behave in a way that damages the platform or its community. You may delete your own account at any time via your profile settings.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted means you accept the updated Terms. We will notify users of significant changes via email where practicable.

These Terms are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be subject to the jurisdiction of New Zealand courts.
